Sunday 6-Pack: Wild Card Weekend 2016

Hello and welcome to the Sunday 6-Pack where we crack open six of the tastiest stories in the NFL. It’s Wild Card Weekend, and there was some completely awesome football. We got things started down in Texas as Brock Osweiler and the AFC South Champion Houston Texans were hosting the Oakland Raiders. It was Connor Cook not only making his first playoff start, but it was also his first start in the NFL. Cook had some good moments but Houston’s number one defense proved to be just too much as the Texans beat the Raiders 27-14. Saturday Night took us out to the Emerald City as Russell Wilson and the NFC West Champion Seattle Seahawks were hosting Matt Stafford and the Detroit Lions. The Lion’s defense kept them in the game for through three quarters, but in the 4th Seattle pulled away using some sick catches by Paul Richardson and Doug Baldwin. Add in over 160 yards on the ground by Thomas Rawls and you get a Seahawks 26-6 victory. Sunday’s acton got stated back in the AFC as Big Ben Roethlisberger and the AFC North Champion Pittsburgh Steelers were hosting the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins won the regular season matchup between these two teams, but they went into Sunday’s playoff game with back up quarterback Matt Moore leading the Fins. Moore did struggle, but not as much as that Dolphins defense did. Ben, Bell, and Brown were way too much for Sou and company. They got out to a big lead and just kept it rolling. The Steelers punished the Dolphins 30-12. Sunday’s finale was über tasty as Aaron Rodgers and the NFC North Champion Green Bay Packers were hosting Eli Manning and the New York Giants. Just a couple of Super Bowl MVP’s doing battle, no big deal. When the smoke cleared though, it was Aaron Rodgers that looked the part, throwing four touchdowns in a dominating 38-13 victory. Help crack open this tasty Sunday 6-Pack with Casey and Dave. We’re not the suits that talk football, we’re the dudes that KNOW football.
