Welcome to the Sunday 6-Pack where we crack open six of the tastiest stories in the NFL. The regular season is now a distant memory as we rolled into Wild Card Weekend. Only twelve teams get the opportunity to keep the dream alive, and now we’re already down to the final eight. We got the playoff party started with Alex Smith and the 10-6 AFC West Champion Kansas City Chiefs hosting Marcus Mariota and the 9-7 Tennessee Titans. KC got off to a very hot start building a 21-3 lead at the half. But those would be the last points the Chiefs would score and all they could do was watch Marcus Mariota and Derrick Henry take over. And when all was said and done, the Chiefs will definitely remember the Titans and how they went scoreless in the second half and watched their season end with the 22-21 defeat. Up next it was out to Hollywood as Jared Goff and the 11-5 NFC West Champion Los Angeles Rams were hosting Matt Ryan and the10-6 Atlanta Falcons. There was plenty talk about the quarterbacks in this one and whether last years’s league MVP or the second year wonder kid would shine under the bright lights of the playoffs. When the curtain closed on Saturday night it was the defending NFC Champs moving on as the Falcons won 26-13. Sunday’s action took us down to Florida as Blake Bortles and the 10-6 AFC South Champion Jacksonville Jaguars were hosting Tyrod Taylor and the 9-7 Buffalo Bills. There wasn’t a lot of offense in this game, but there was a lot of great defense and when it was over the Jags had just enough to snag the 10-3 victory. We wrapped up the madness with an NFC South showdown. It was Drew Brees and the 11-5 NFC South Champion New Orleans Saints hosting Cam Newton and the 11-5 Carolina Panthers. This game had a little bit of everything, and when it was over the Saints came up with enough big plays to secure the 31-26 win.
