Sunday 6-Pack: 2017 Week 15 Recap

Welcome to the Sunday 6-Pack where we crack open six of the tastiest stories in the NFL. We got Week 15 going with a super tasty edition of Saturday Night Football. Saturday Night Football brought us an AFC West showdown with the division lead up for grabs. It was Alex Smith and the Kansas City Chiefs hosting Philip Rivers and the red hot Los Angeles Chargers. Going into Saturday Night, the Chargers had won four games in a row, but had lost seven in a row to the Chiefs. One of those streaks came to an end last night, and it was the one favoring red. The Chiefs picked Rivers three times, and Kareem Hunt went over two hundred yards which added up to a 30-13 Chiefs victory. Sunday marked the return of one Aaron Rodgers as his Green Bay Packers were visiting Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers. As expected Rodgers wasn’t the sharpest he’s ever been. However Cam Newton looked as good as ever torching the Pack with four passing touchdowns. Panthers roar to the huge 31-24 win. Then it was an NFC East showdown with the New York Giants hosting the Philadelphia Eagles. The big question surrounding this game was how Nick Foles would do taking over for an injured Carson Wentz. Foles responded with four passing touchdowns and even though it was much closer than expected, Philly clinched home field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs with the 34-29 victory. Then it was up to Seattle for an NFC West battle as Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks were hosting Jared Goff and the Los Angeles Rams with first place in the West up for grabs. Unfortunately for the 12’s, the Hawks didn’t show up for this game. And even more unfortunate for the 12’s is that Todd Gurley did show up. Gurley scored his fourth touchdown of the day before taking off the entire fourth quarter. Rams roll in this one 42-7. Finally it was the most anticipated game of the weekend. Big Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers were hosting Tom Brady and the New England Patriots with a potential one seed on the line. Early in this one the Steelers lost Antonio Brown to injury, luckily there were plenty of Steelers to take up the slack. The Steelers held the lead until a late Tom Brady rally put the Pats back on top. After an insane couple of plays the Steelers had what looked like the game winning score, only to be taken off the board after a review. The next play was a Big Ben interception and the Patriots escape with what might have been the most insane finish ever. Patriots come out on top 27-24. We finish off this 6-Pack with some total fantasy domination. Help Casey and Dave crack open this super tasty Week 15 edition of the Sunday 6-Pack. We’re not the suits that talk football, we’re the dudes that know football!
