Sunday 6-Pack: NFL Playoffs Wild Card Weekend!

Welcome to the Sunday 6-Pack where we crack open six of the tastiest stories in the NFL. The regular season has slipped away, but that means our reward was some playoff football and Wild Card Weekend had a bit of everything. In the early game on Saturday it was Desean Watson and the 11-5 Houston Texans hosting Andrew Luck and the 10-6 Indianapolis Colts. The Colts got up big in this one and never looked back, rolling to the 21-7 win. The nightcap moved us right up the road to Big D as Dak Prescott and the 10-6 Dallas Cowboys hosted Russell Wilson and the 10-6 Seattle Seahawks. Defense dominated this game most of the night, but in the end it was Dak Prescott flipping out on the way to the Cowboys 24-22 victory. Sunday’s action got going in the AFC as Lamar Jackson and the 10-6 Baltimore Ravens hosted Philip Rivers and the 12-4 Los Angeles Chargers. This game looked like the Chargers were going to coast to victory leading 23-3 in the 4th quarter but that’s when Action Jackson came alive leading the Ravens to two quick touchdown drives. But in the end it was the Charger defense that put the game away sealing the 23-17 win. We wrapped Sunday’s action in the Chi as Mitch Trubisky and the 12-4 Chicago Bears hosted Nick Foles and the 9-7 Philadelphia Eagles. This was a tight game that went down to the wire. Chicago had last at bats but Cody Parkey’s field goal attempt bounced off the cross bar twice, falling just short, the reigning champs stay alive as Philly advances with the 16-15 victory. That means we’re down to eight teams in the Divisional Round as next Saturday will feature Pat Mahomes and the 12-4 Kansas City Chiefs hosting Andrew Luck and the 11-6 Indianapolis Colts. Then it’s Jared Goff and the 13-3 Los Angeles Rams hosting Dak Prescott and the 11-6 Dallas Cowboys. Sunday’s action gives us Tom Brady and the 11-5 New England Patriots hosting Philip Rivers and the 13-4 Los Angeles Chargers. Then it’s Drew Brees and the 13-3 New Orleans Saints hosting Nick Foles and the 10-7 Philadelphia Eagles. Help Casey and Dave crack open this super tasty Wild Card Weekend edition of the Sunday 6-Pack. We’re not the suits that talk football, we’re the dudes that KNOW football!
