Sunday 6-Pack: Conference Championships!

Welcome to the Sunday 6-Pack where we crack open six of the tastiest stories in the NFL. Going into Sunday we were down to four teams with two trips to the Super Bowl on the line. Championship Sunday started in the NFC as Drew Brees and the 14-3 New Orleans Saints were hosting Jared Goff and the 14-3 Los Angeles Rams. This was a rematch of a Week 9 game that Brees and company won 45-35. This time around the game had a lot less scoring but was even more competitive. The Saints had the lead for most of the day and were looking to put it away until a terrible pass interference call went uncalled, giving the Rams new life. The Rams took that new life into overtime and will be taking that new life to Atlanta and Super Bowl LIII as the Rams stunned the Saints 26-23 in overtime. Then it was off to Arrowhead for the AFC Championship as Pat Mahomes and the 13-4 Kansas City Chiefs hosted Tom Brady and the 12-5 New England Patriots. This was a rematch of a Week 6 game that the Patriots won 43-40. This game started out all Patriots but Mahomes and the Chiefs finally got it going late. With KC nursing a four point lead late in the fourth quarter, Tom Terrific looked like he was mortal throwing an interception that would have put the Chiefs in the Super Bowl. Unfortunately for Chief fans, Dee Ford lined up offsides, giving the Pats a second chance. And Tom Brady would turn that second chance into his ninth Super Bowl appearance beating the Chiefs 37-31 in overtime. Now we’re down to the final two teams ready to duke it out for NFL supremacy in Super Bowl LIII as Tom Brady and the New England Patriots face off against Jared Goff and the Los Angeles Rams. Get your  Super Bowl LIII fix right here with and help Casey and Dave crack open this super tasty Conference Championship edition of the Sunday 6-Pack. We’re not the suits that talk football, we’re the dudes that KNOW football!
